About Somatic Education   

Somatic Education is a simple, direct and powerful way to help us re-connect with the first person experience of our body/mind. At the physical level, it is a way to re-establish fuller communication between our brain and our neuromuscular system, thus inviting ease of movement into our life. At the emotional and spiritual levels, it is a way to live more fully and compassionately as human beings. Movement is life. By both feeling and gradually releasing the limitations of our movement potential, we bring more life into the world.

Somatic Education is especially applicable for physical and/or emotional trauma, for work related stress patterns, for recovery from accidents, to increase learning potential, for graceful aging, to maximize immune system capability, for spiritual evolution, and for general well-being.

Somatic Education can be learned through both individual movement sessions and/or workshops. The beauty of the work is that it empowers the individual to validate in ever deeper and subtler ways the truth of their own experience.

Somatic Education has additional relevance within the context of inter and intra group stresses and conflicts. As individuals learn to sense and release their own underlying stress patterns, they contribute more clarity and well-being within the group dynamic. The group, in turn, contributes more clarity and well-being as it functions within the world context. Peace begets peace, joy of movement begets joy of movement, at every level of functioning.
