Setting Sail on the Journey of a Lifetime
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
Do you dream of leaving the stress and disappointment of the corporate rat-race, of living a life that feels more authentic and sharing your truest self with the world?
As an artist and peacebuilder, I have spent almost thirty years managing and training in the corporate world, doing a job that fed my family but starved my soul. I will always be grateful for the security I have had in that work, but the past several years' heartaches and challenges have made me realize how short life is and how precious each moment is. I am no longer willing to ignore my gifts or give my life to anything that doesn’t feed my soul and bring more peace to this beautiful world.
So, I am setting sail on the grandest journey of my life.
I’m trusting the gentle wind to fill my sails, the shimmering, deep water to carry me safely, and my beloved, seafaring ancestors to bless this journey and my earnest heart.
I’m trusting that the world needs what I am offering and that I will spend the rest of my life sharing my gifts with you.
Today is the last day of my corporate life and the first day of the rest of my life. I begin my voyage feeling like I imagine most fledgling entrepreneurs:
But I am also filled with the heart-expanding hope that connection and creativity bring, the excitement of sharing concepts and tools that invite more beauty and kindness in the world, and the deep desire to encourage and curate beloved community.
The notion that sharing my gifts might bring you and our beautiful, generous earth a little more peace gives me the courage to step into this work heartfully and to take the next step without knowing where the path will lead me.
I’ll be sharing the journey here in this blog: all the tears, all the triumphs, and all the in-betweens. So jump aboard my little sailboat, and let’s set sail together on the adventure of a lifetime!
So, if you dream of shining your bright and beautiful light, of choosing your authentic journey, and of making the most of the rest of your wild and precious life, I hope you will join me on this voyage.
