In this busy world we have a tendency to focus our care giving on others. Our families, work, community and well, just about anyone but ourselves. Whether you were taught that it was selfish to think of yourself or you just can't manage to find the time, neglecting yourself sets an example for others on how you want to be treated. This is a hard lesson to swallow and one that took me years to figure out. I thought the sacrifices of time, money and self-interests benefited those I love. I was wrong. My children rarely saw a mother who was truly happy and fulfilled. Instead they saw a self-imposed martyr who, after a while, no longer recognized herself. That was not the example I wanted to set for them.
Give yourself the gift of self and you will be gifting your loved ones as well.
Virginia Masson, The Peace Muse, is a wonder-filled artist, Peacebuilder, Creatrix and Intentional Creativity Coach specializing in guiding transformational change using a powerful combination of intention, image and word.
As she matured as an artist, Virginia felt a yearning to express the deepest parts of her spirit and soul on the canvas. She began to search for a way to bring her heart-truth into her creativity. That is when she discovered Shiloh Sophia McCloud and Intentional Creativity; and that was the moment her life as an artist changed forever.
Intentional Creativity cracked open Virginia's heart, dissolved her perfectionism, and opened her up to a completely new way to view creativity.
